About The Inner Child Healing
The Inner Child Healing is an educational self-reflection platform. It exists to help people notice recurring emotional patterns, work out what they might need, and practise a more supportive response in the present.
Past pattern → present need → new response. That is the whole framework, and everything published here is either helping you see the pattern, name the need, or practise the response.
What this site is
A library of careful guides about inner child work, reparenting, people pleasing, boundaries, self-trust, reassurance seeking, emotional triggers, rest, and play. A free eight-question reflection check that needs no email address. And one paid product, the Inner Child Map™, which is a personalised, private, interactive practice built around whichever area the check pointed to.
What this site is not
- It is not therapy, and reading it does not create a professional relationship of any kind.
- It is not medical care, psychological assessment or trauma treatment.
- It is not a mental-health clinic, and nobody here is presented as a clinician.
- It is not crisis care. Here is where to look for that.
How we use the phrase "inner child"
As a metaphor, and only as a metaphor. "Inner child" is a popular therapeutic and self-reflection concept, not a formal clinical diagnosis and not a measurable entity. It is a useful shorthand for the emotional patterns people carry forward from earlier in life, and it stops being useful the moment it is treated as evidence about what happened to someone.
So you will not read here that you have a wounded inner child, that your childhood caused a present-day difficulty, or that a quiz result proves anything about your past. What you will read is that you may recognise patterns often discussed in inner child work, and that one of them may be worth exploring. That distinction is the whole editorial position, and it is checked automatically before anything is published. The editorial policy explains how.
Who writes it
The Inner Child Healing Editorial Team — writers and editors, not clinicians. We do not invent credentials we do not have, and you will not find a fictional therapist byline anywhere on this site. Where a factual claim about psychology is made, it is attributed to a recognised source such as the APA, the NHS, NIMH, SAMHSA or peer-reviewed research. Where something is a framework rather than a finding, we say so.
If a qualified reviewer joins the site later, their real name and real credentials will be shown, on the pages they actually reviewed.
How this is funded
One product, one price. The Inner Child Map™ is $9 as a one-time purchase — no subscription, no upsell ladder, no course. There is no advertising, no sponsored content, and no affiliate links in the guides.
Free content is not deliberately weakened to force a purchase. The guides answer the question you searched for and give you exercises you can use tonight without paying anything. The paid product is different in kind, not in quantity: it is interactive, personalised and private, and it keeps your own entries over time.
Privacy, briefly
This site can hold sensitive emotional writing, so it collects as little as possible. There is no account, no email requirement and no name field. Quiz answers, journal entries, reflections and letters stay in your own browser, are never placed in a page address, and are never sent to any analytics service. The privacy page sets it out in full.
Contact
Corrections, questions and disagreements are welcome at [email protected], or through the contact page. If you think something published here crosses the line into diagnosis or assumption, please tell us — that is exactly the kind of correction we want to make.
The Inner Child Healing provides educational self-reflection tools and is not a substitute for mental-health diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, or crisis care.
